Hay Fever: 26th June 1993

Noel Coward’s classic comedy about a bohemian family and their visitors.

Happy memories of this classic 1930s comedy. Especially the matinee when our dear friend Dinah Johnston playing the maid entered pushing her creaky tea trolley with clattering cups and singing “Tea for Two”. They roared as she poured and she got a round of applause on her exit. Happy Days.

I had wanted to take part in Hay Fever when it was mentioned in a workshop that I attended. I wanted to play the part of Sorel, but I was cast as Jackie. We went to see a professional production of Hay Fever in London and the part of Jackie was played by Sara Crowe.
