A one-act play written by TADS member Brenda Read-Brown. We will be presenting it as part of the Worcestershire Theatre Festival 2025 on the first weekend of March. The play has now been cast.
The Characters:
MUM Late forties. She is dressed for her daughter’s wedding, but not particularly well. She is not particularly well-preserved, but has a firmness about her, not quite defeated.
JULIE In her early 20s, not particularly attractive, but not ugly. She is wearing a beautiful wedding dress, that has obviously cost a great deal.
MICHELLE A little younger than JULIE; in a rather sexy bridesmaid’s dress. She is beautiful.
DAD Late forties. Long-suffering. Dressed for his daughter’s wedding, in an obviously-hired suit.
MELANIE Early forties. A very smartly-dressed and well-preserved woman.
BRIAN Late twenties. He is a good-humoured young man; dressed in a groom’s outfit.
